Loading paper with the spool set to release was a non starter for me until I tried power cycling after loading the paper. Give that a try if you get stuck in a load/respool loop but please let your rep know so we can hopefully get a proper resolution.

I've not been through many rolls yet on my Pro 2000, using medium/thick stock so far and have had no feeding issues.
