60" wide Baryta printer
« on: September 02, 2017, 05:34:19 pm »

Looking for someone to print a few 60" wide baryta prints. I'm in NY but shipping is an option. I have a 44" printer but have a special project I'm working on. Thanks

Wow, Baryta is so incredibly touchy and sensitive to scratching and kinking. I'd hate to be the one handling that order. You'll probably have to go to a professional service as it will take two people to handle 60" correctly. Good luck.

I'd be happy to help you. I use the Epson P20000.
Yes Mearussi, the scratching scuffing and kinking is no fun. The paper cannot touch anything, but it can be avoided.

There is only one Baryta in 60" I know of: Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta. The others top out at 44 or 50".

There is also Platine (my choice) and a few others good ones in 60".  But it's not a big selection compared to 44" media.
Platine is often out of stock in 60" for that matter.
There is also one 64" paper of the type you are after available, if you need those extra few inches

Be sure you get someone who knows what they are doing.
(PM me if you need more information, I'm in NYC but don't do printing for others really)
