Some Generic Profiles Starting to Show Up..
« on: September 01, 2006, 02:03:44 pm »

Sorry, meant to post this in iPF 5000 info thread..

Hi Group,

For those of you who are not generating your own profiles (no, please, let's don't go there again   ), I've noticed a couple of more sites are starting to list them.  Here's some paper suppliers (sorry I don't have links, but you can find easy enough) that are now showng profiles for the IPF5000:

Red River Paper
Crane Papers (Museo Silver Rag)
Ilford Gallerie Glossy & Smooth Pearl
Inkjetart (micro ceramic luster)
Lexjet Sunset series papers

Still no generic 5000 profiles from Moab or Kodak.

I use a lot of Kodak Professional Lustre (in rolls) and have found that the Ilford Gallerie Smooth Pearl profile is pretty good with this paper on the 5000.  Might have to tweak the saturation/contrast sliders a little, but color is remarkably good.  For rolls, I'm using the HW semi-gloss media setting.   Seems to work well in both regular driver and 16 bit plugin.

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Tony-
We have been working on these profiles and it should only take us another
week or two before we have them posted on the website.
We're really excited about the Canon iPF5000- it can do some really great
things.
Thank you and have a great weekend.
