Customer Service Shock
« on: September 01, 2006, 05:43:21 am »

I bought my iPF5000 in the summer and like many people here I've struggled to get the best out of it.

When I can get it to produce the print I want then it is excellent, but having to fight my way through the settings and with poor documentation I've ended up choosing one set-up that I use most and leaving it alone.

I've just had a sales call from the company I bought it from http://www.azzurriprint.co.uk , trying to sell me more ink and paper. I explained that I'm not using the printer as much as I hoped because it seems so difficult to use.

Within a few minutes I had another call asking if I would be able to visit the distributor  http://www.velmex.co.uk next week for a couple of hours so that their cheif technician could show me how to use the printer.

Now I know that the more I use the printer, the more consumables I will buy, but still, to me this really is amazing service.

If any one has any specific questions/problems, then post them here (or mail jamie@mymoodphotography.com ) and I'll try to get answers.

Funny, my experience with Azzurri was a nightmare. It is only when I contacted Velmex that I seemed to get anywhere but they are wholesalers and not really supposed to deal with end users.
