More from Lake Superior 2017

Comments and constructive criticism welcomed.

BTW: Intrusions appears tilted, but I've checked and re-checked the horizon and it's exactly horizontal.

As I've said elsewhere, a very fine series, in my view. Favorites here are "Dusk" and "Pic Island at Sunset."

"Intrusions" does look tilted in the thumbnail, I think because the land mass at the right looks as if it's part of the horizon. Enlarged it looks just right.
In the third one ("Dusk") I might be tempted to darken it a bit overall to get closer to the lovely mood you have in the one you posted separately. As is, it looks a bit too bright to be dusk, to me.

I have a hard time coming up with nits to pick in any of your images. This is a fine set.

I particularly like the 4th image, which is very much like Scotland.

I like the dusk and glacial rock.  That is some of the oldest rock in North America.  Someday I would like to explore this landscape.

Terry,

That last one is in my heart. I lived in SSM for 26+ yrs,... and spent many days in and about Lake Superior Park,.. winter, summer, spring and fall and environs,..

These pics make me want to go back and spend some "photographers" alone time back "home"

Thanks for sharing

I know exactly what you mean, Les. Although I've not lived up there, I've visited a number of times, off and on since 1984. I had an idea of what I wanted based on those trips, yet the actual spot I shot it from was way too obvious. But, like you, it pulls together all the elements of the Superior coast - for me, it's  one of those quintessential views.

Really nice sunset but not quite like my part of Scotland.

All superb images, Terry.  You obviously had tons of fun.
I agree, the last one is the quintessential Great Lakes image.
It's an amazing coastline to witness for me, a Vancouver boy. That truly is an inland sea.

Another great set of image. My preference goes to the first one (Intrusions) and the third one (Dusk).

That's a beautiful set, and though I love B&W landscapes, the layers in that last image makes that my pick of the bunch

I like all of them, with Pic Island being my favorite I think.  Great layers.

I like them all; it's a interesting thing the pictures are so completely different. Each of it's own is great. What I do wonder about is the 2nd one, maybe the colors are not like i Imagine, but this one somehow I'd really like to see in color.

I like the colour version almost as much. Here it is...

For me the colored version is way more interesting. Okay, the structure is there in B&W, but those greens, they do not deserve to be hidden!
