Survivors

In the beginning a square mile supported four farms. Now one farm often runs 10 square miles.

Number 2 - the composition is great.  All that space and then the cramping in the middle just works and adds to the story, particularly in B&W!

Very interesting topic, could think of a larger set or even a book of those. Would be a rewarding work, wouldn't it?

Thanks to all for your comments. I kind of thought #2 was strongest, and affirmation is helpful.

A book? Don't we have enough books?  ;)  I am having a hard time imagining a general market for these images, but I'm glad I can share them here.
