Nill is correct. That much said, deep, rich blacks are a challenge for matte paper. You may find the blacks more pleasing for certain images printing on something like Innova Fibaprint Gloss F Type. With that you can retain the Photoblack cartridge in the printer. More expensive paper than Epson Enhanced Matte, but you'll save 75 bucks for each trip between one black cartridge and the other due to the flushing cost each time you switch between matte and glossy paper with this printer. Great printer, but this is a real pain.
