My web site has been on Start Logic for several years.  Built myself with Dreamweaver and they just host it, no e-commerce.
Now they are trying to high jack the annual cost to $422 for just basic hosting!!
Screw them.

I have searched here for a recent thread discussion the best of the hosting sites, and why they are the best.
No real current threads found.

Bad search or are there no threads in the last year or two?

IF no recent/updated thread, then let's get one started.

Thoughts?

I just found this thread!  How it was missed by the search engine ........

Key for me:
Use my existing domain name.
email for just 5 addresses available.
photo specific layout/s
e-commerce with reasonable fees ideal.
will do all my own fulfillment of orders/printing - prints only, no interest in framing.
right click disabled (I know.......)
Log On page has scrolling images with my defined time period between images is ideal.
excellent customer support.

I payed $150.00 for a lifetime of hosting from a company just when they were starting out.  A Small Orange is still growing and I still don't pay as long as I can manage with their small plan.  Right now I like using Rapidwearver as my web design program and A Small Orange as a host.  But they won't do your printing.

Thanks, I'll take a look at them

And I definitely will do my own printing and sign images, so that is not a problem.
But I want to have purchase as part of my page with alerts to me of orders to full!
Yeah, I'm a Dreamer!

Look for and hire a specialist seo website they will just tell you what to do. If you want to be as well then also need to use the seo website

I moved from Start Logic, which I was not happy with, to SiteGround in August, 2017.

Extremely happy with the hosting they offer!
Support has been great, and the site load much faster.

Highly recommend giving it a look.

I pay $144 annually for the photodeck.com Folio plan.

You can get half off your first month with code YG@ULYCTN

I'm looking at what's available.

Reviews (and sheer number of websites who use them - 120m+) rate Wix.com very highly.

This site, built using Wix apparently (I wonder if it's a bought-in template though, and not created from scratch on Wix?) totally chimes with me. I love its clean look and the font used. I also like the slide-show feature and the small film-strip of thumbnails. Beautiful work too.

That said, Photodeck fares well in reviews also.

As with everything in this game, the choice is overwhelming!  :(

My new site is up and running.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

I did it myself using:
Host:  SiteGround - they have been great!
WordPress with Beaver Builder.

Not as easy as with a plug in, but I have total control of the site in all aspects.
