Ah - OK I see how this can work. I have been managing this problem just by jiggling the back door outward a wee bit as the paper starts to jam under it, and that lets the paper pass upward. But your approach also sounds fine.

Working it by hand, one way or the other, works OK for large sheets, because you can gently push. That's how I worked it also, until now. Specifically the smaller sheets (like A4) where the P-800 pushes it through, where problamatic. It either worked OK by chance, or not at all.
