Pricing of Rodenstock lenses in different geos

Has somebody else noticed that Rodenstock tech camera lenses seem way over-priced in some mainstream US retailers such as BH photo?

Taking the most striking example of the 40mm HR Digaron W:
- it trades for 6550 US$ at BH photo: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/637039-USA/Rodenstock_150136_40mm_f_4_HR_Digaron_W.html
- But it can be bought for a much more reasonable 3,875 Euros (4,420 US$) at the Arca swiss online store in France: http://www.arca-swiss-magasin.com/contents/fr/d47_objectif-rodenstock-digaron-w.html

That's a pretty incredible 30% difference. The 2,130 US$ change on this mid priced lens would by you a Panasonic GH5 to add pro quality video to your amazing tech camera images.

I have bought myself from Arca swiss Magasin, it is the official Arca Swiss retailer and I have had a great shopping experience with them.

Interestingly, the gap is a bit smaller for other Rodenstock lenses (for the 90mm HR - 5590 US$ vs 7117 US$).

Rodenstock recently increased their pricing so there will be some difference between specialized dealers like ASM and DT who inventory such items and less specialized retailers that tend to act as a catalog to special order items.

Also Arca swiss Magasin is AN official dealer for Arca, not "the official retailer" (which would imply they are somehow different in status to other specialized arca dealers like DT).

Back to Bernard's point.
2  years ago, the difference in a 32HR-W in Arca mount was over $2,200.00 US between pricing I received from US dealers and Linhof Studios.  That did not included the CF.  That was over 350.00 more in US pricing.

The lenses are a bit over priced on the US side IMO. 

Just looking at raw numbers.  There may be room for a dealer to push down the pricing, but I would rather see the best number up front.

Well, I got easy access through them to engineers who design some of the Arca parts, got some CAD drawings for explanation... they didn't feel like a regular retailer but I take your word for it.
