Well caught. Were the posts vertical? Ought they to be?

Thank you,  Eric very much!

Jeremy, you are right, the image was not quite straight, I fixed it now, so the updated version shows the poles hanging properly. Thanks for pointing it out.
Sometimes the slalom poles are blowing in the wind, but in this case, the image needed one degree rotation.

Hi Les,

Not trying to intrude, but if it's allowed to add/attach my own, here's one of several I did on the 'Dutch Water Dreams' track in my country (admittedly much easier shooting conditions than yours, in the wild). The track was a replica of the 2008 Summer Olympics Games in China, built to prepare the national team for those games.

Cheers,
Bart

On the contrary, Bart, it's nice to see you attaching your own whitewater photo. A nice action shot, the red colour screams with vibrance and power.

This beautiful, but relatively short stretch of whitewater in my pictures is in Minden, about 150km northeast of Toronto, a kayak and canoe slalom course during the 2015 Panam Summer Games hosted by Ontario. I am attaching the original colour image and also an old photo of myself running this river in my younger days. The photo is not great, it was shot about 30 years ago on film. These days when I go there, I can usually produce better photos of the other paddlers, but I don't know if I could still carry that heavy ABS whitewater boat up to the top of the rapids.
