Confluence
« on: June 29, 2017, 08:07:34 am »

This is supposed to be the dry season in the Lake District. However this location, Greenup Gill, is approx 5 miles from Seathwaite, the wettest place in England with 12ft of rain a year, so I was prepared for the rain but the mid 50s temperatures with a chilly wind were challenging. The flat light doesn't help but the Becks are full of nice little falls. Hope you like it. Ken

I like it.  It has a nice pleasing composition and I like the color rendition.

Nice and wide, there's a lot to explore in this shot.
Bravo.

More falls further up the right hand stream. There are multiple falls like this for a mile or so. The flat light isn't great but a spot of sun will produce distracting highlights. Perhaps lots of patience on a soft sunshine and shadow day and merge the two? The four mile walk uphill from the car park is a bit of a pain on the off chance of enough water in the beck and flattering light. Ken

The light and mood works for these in my opinion. Really nice processing. Great work.
