LR CC Losing License
« on: June 06, 2017, 09:52:54 pm »

Since upgrading to the last LR CC release When starting the app from shortcuts on my desktop it will tell me my trial period is expiring, I license it and it tells me to enjoy my experience.. But I am running 6.10.1 not CC (Dehaze is missing, my go to check to determine what I'm running) Help about tells me the same 6.10.1 with CR 9.10.1.

I shutdown and restart LR and I am now running CC 2015.10.1 / CR 9.10.1.

Anyone else having this issue? Its annoying more than anything, it doesn't always prompt for a license, sometimes I'm working and eh.. Dehaze is missing.. I'm running 6.10.1...

Lightroom 6.10.1 is functioning as expected. Dehaze is not available outside of the Creative Cloud package.
If you wish to remain in the CC version then make sure you do not Sign Out when you are shutting the application. Use quit Lightroom when you stop using from the Menu bar.

I've been experiencing this for some time on mine.  I just have to log out and log back in to Creative Cloud and then it's fine again.

It is really annoying though.

Same here. Not every day, but something like three times a week.

Didn't happen today when I started.

Denis - I'm not signing out ever. I'll try the File > Exit, I don't see anything labeled "quit Lightroom", but not expecting much difference from this approach.

Does seem to be a thing, not just me. What is the bug submittal page for Adobe? Thought I had a shortcut but it has been a very long time since I've submitted anything.
Google gave me this http://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html
Eh, that sent me to some Photoshop forum.

Contact Adobe's customer care https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/contact.html or https://twitter.com/AdobeCare is a good way.

Thanks John. I posted on the Wish Form Forum and Adobe Support has contacted me.
There was a CC App upgrade that came out yesterday. Installed it and have not seen the issue, actually for a while now things have been stable.

I was traveling with my laptop the week before last and LR was crashing a few times during the trip. I wonder if LR crashing causes a corruption in CC that throws me into the standalone version. Does anyone else see a corollary of this issue with LR crashes?

My Lightroom never crashes (it's slow as molasses, but stable!) and I still periodically get thrown into trial period or standalone version, so I don't think the two are related.

I have a support agent assigned, we're waiting for it to happen again. If the CC App 4.1.1.202 upgrade solves it we'll be waiting a while...
Thanks for the feedback on the crash idea and the links.
If we find something I'll be sure to post the info.
