How to print 11x14 on a Canon S9000 printer
« on: August 17, 2006, 01:27:24 pm »

For the first time since I have owned my Canon S9000 printer I am trying to print an 11x14 image.   When I go to Printer Setup to tell it the size of paper to use, I can't find 11x14 anywhere.  There are lots of international sizes like A4 and B3, but  how do I know which, if any is 11x14?

How do you print an 11x14 on this printer?

Thanks.

Yeah, interesting. Well, if there is no setting for 11x14, you can use "manage custom settings" to create that format. I'm speaking of PSCS2. I just went through this in my attempt to print banners. You might find that thread with a more detailed procedure if you search for banners.

To my knowledge there is no 11X14" inkjet paper.

The world has long ago moved to metric (with the sole exception of the US) and has standardized on those paper sizes, such as A3. But, you will also find 11X17" and 13X19", the former being about as close as you'll get to the old 11X14".

MrPaul, I have an S9000 and print 11x14 all the time.  Open 'properties' and click on the 'page set' up tab.  Click the drop down menu under page size and scroll to the bottom and select 'custom'.  Then just enter the width and height you need.  Once you have made all the selections you want for a given print job you can save all the settings(including the paper size) under the profiles tab.  Select 'Add to Profiles' and name the current set up.  I use names like '11x14 Epson Lustre' etc.  Good luck, -John
