Portraits and people
« on: May 18, 2017, 08:12:33 pm »

I saw the young woman in the atrium at the National Portrait Gallery. I asked if she'd mind if I took a few photos. She's not a model and I'm not a portrait photographer. ... The other picture was taken at the Baltimore airport.

Methinks the area just above the bottom of the word "grill" should be cropped out of the lunch scene. Russ?

Russ will say "No crop! No Crop!"
But I think either crop as you suggested or possibly just include the words "Mexican Grill" but nothing higher. That would probably require a little context-aware fill to eliminate any remnant of the curved white line, which would be distracting if left in.

Agreed. I just cropped a version and left in part of "Mexican Grill" for context. ... This is typical of the stuff I photograph when stuck in airports.

Now there's the kind of compromise I wish politicians could make. I didn't see the original, but I think the final is just fine (to coin a phrase).

And the girl -- lovely.
