Thanks Oscar I am still digesting your comments and will experiment with the sky contrast to see if reducing the imapact of the sky brings the eye onto the "abbey" without loosing too much drama. The halos are probably my overagressive sharpening after reducing the sie of the image as they are not instantly noticeable on the full sie version. I agree that the last of the ICM shots is verging on being a  "blurred landscape" without the "mood" of the first one. I may well look at " correcting" the most obvious signs of the curvature - the spire and the bright streaks in the bottom third of the island in the original. Ken
