Desert Matrix
« on: May 13, 2017, 09:57:58 am »

Hidden treasure in the Valley of Fire. Our first trip in April continues to amaze me, the endless variations and themes presented in this relatively small place is boggling...desert matrix.

I know I'll probably get stoned at the suggestion, but I would have removed the distracting twig at the bottom of the image either before I made the shot or in PP. I find once my eye saw it, it couldn't see much else. (It's a weak eye :-) )

LOL! Chris, don't sweat it. I'm not! :) I could have taken it out and still can.

Nice sweeping curves and textures, I love it.

Very nice, with or without the twig.

Lovely shot, Mark. You even had some cloud to augment it.

I'd get rid of the twig.

I love that twig! The twig is the image and the image is the twig!  ;)

The twig "humanizes" the otherwise desolate landscape.  I would actually accentuate it.

There isn't such a thing as a perfect, image therefore the twig stays. It is a fine image and very likeable. I sometimes wonder why people pick up on small "faults"

Great composition, with or without the twig. Congratulations.
