2 days and 10 miles apart
« on: May 09, 2017, 05:21:13 am »

The 2 sides of Britanny. Calm on the one hand and exciting on the other. All comments welcome. Ken

I like the composition and wave motion in the second one but find the cloud movement a bit distracting.

The first one really hits the mark for me, but the second is nice too.
I could see mounting prints back-to-back and showing whichever one fits your mood of the moment.

I like the mood of the first. As for the second if you had multiple frames of the second at different shutter speeds you could blend one with the blurred water and one with the clouds frozen in time. Just a thought.

Both are compelling, each in their own way and capture distinctly different moods. Well scene and conceptualizer in both cases!

Love the first image. It is interesting that one comment for second image is that the clouds seem distracting. I actually agree with that. Not all movement in images comes across well. I have many like that. There is always a point where too much or too little movement can ruin how well blur movement is conveyed. But it is still really nice image.

Thanks again. I do have still clouds, I must have been thinking, and I will redo the shot if/ when it rains. Ken

The still cloud shot merged with the moving water the still cloud shot was taken 4 minutes earlier so the clouds have moved a lot. Redone on a decent monitor so the brightness and colour may have changed. An improvement? Ken
