Perhaps the same shot with a larger variety of either tonal range or color/focus shifting but as it...eh, no.

Chris,... thanks for the input.  Not sure if you mean the shot should be retaken at some point,.... or some post processing would improve what is there already.  Maddog also found it lacking interest. After thinking about the comments offered,... I wonder if a higher camera height might have been the better decision to capture more of the "watery distance" beyond the breakwater,  instead of the emphasized watery foreground. Perhaps a part of the pier might have added that something special,... perhaps not.,... but "food for thought" for the next time.

It's the light, son. It's the light. Don't over think it. Compositionally it is fine, a higher angle won't add to it unless you are flying over it. Remember, it's the light. :-)

Aboudd,  thanks for viewing and comments.  Much appreciated.  This was taken in late Sept. about 4 pm ,... it was the light on the breakwater that struck my interest,... "forced" me to capture this image,... would definitely have been better if the timing was in the "golden hour" ,... but alas,  the light on the breakwater is what stopped me dead in my tracks,.... had to take the shot,...
