Trading Places — Luminous-Endowment Grant winner

Excellent piece. The bold reality of the B&W images matched the power of the message, real life is more than sunsets. Great work Victoria Piersig. And big thank you to Luminous Landscape for picking a true winner.
Wish you well. Good luck in the future Victoria.

A very interesting project.

The photo ( with the iron ore pellets being unloaded ) is wonderful.

I grew up in a shipbuilding coastal town & I think it influenced my aesthetic sense. I'm always interested by the interaction of human industrial activity & the environment. ( Yes, I know it's not always 'pretty' ).

Well done, Victoria.

I can't say it better. Nice combination of aesthetics and documentary images and essay.
