Jack in the pulpit
« on: May 06, 2017, 04:28:32 pm »

Jack in the pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum) is a common woodland plant in Maryland and much of the northeastern US. It is a favorite of mine, and a plant that I always associate with springtime. The plant emerges in late March, with its single blossom appearing near the end of April. I photographed this one while on a hike in Oella, Maryland this past week.

I like the bookah add. The texture is harsh but purposeful. Seems well thought out and executed.

Thanks maddog and Eric. A 70-200 @ 200mm with an extension tube helped produce the bokeh.
