I spent last weekend near Almograve, in SW Portugal. This time of the year the area is still tranquil, without the invasion of summer vacationers:) I had some good quality time for photography during sunrise and sunset; this is an area I visit often, and I tried to explore the small bays around the area, going off my beaten track, so to speak.
All the shots were taken with a new lens I am testing, the Tokina Firin 20 f2 for Sony E mount. First impressions are extremely positive; the lens is not full metal jacket like the Loxia 21, but it is by no means poorly constructed. One can feel the heft of the glass (it is f2 after all). Lightroom still has no profile for this lens, but I was surprised to see no barrel distortion, and good sharpness across the frame at f8 and f11, the apertures I typically use for landscapes. Vignetting is evident wide open, but that is normal.
Regards.
