Session Albums absolute folder path?
« on: May 02, 2017, 12:37:40 am »

I have a problem with Session Albums (not Smart Albums).
(Windows)

I store a particular session on D:\Photo\201704_sessionname\ with regular session folders (Capture, Output, and so on) inside.
Inside this session i have created a few Albums to sort pictures.

After an editing and exporting necessary pictures i moved it to another drive (D:\ is pretty fast but not-so-big SSD) - simply copies to F:\ new path became F:\Photo\201704_sessionname
Previously, if i needed some files from this session - i can simply open it and work with it on new location.
But in C1 V10 i've discovered two things:

Firstly, C1 shows an image placeholders ('The selected picture is either unavailable or... bla-bla-bla') in Browser in EVERY album - like i moved/deleted this files outside of C1.
If i choose a folder F:\Photo\201704_sessionname\Capture\Foldername - it shows all needed pictures (and all others too).
So, C1 ruined my sorted by albums principle.

Secondly, i've discovered, that in old session location - D:\Photo C1 created AN EMPTY folder structure D:\Photo\201704_sessionname\Capture - presumably trying to find 'missed' files there.
So, it looks like Album feature uses now Absolute and non Relative path?

QWZ,

Right click on the capture folder in Capture One and choose Get Info.

You should see an option to choose between Relative or Absolute.  Did you change to Absolute inadvertently?
