Flextight X5 and Firewire connection
« on: May 01, 2017, 05:02:37 pm »

I'm curious to know if anyone using the Flextight X5 with a thunderbolt adaptor ?  My scanner is currently connected to an older mac tower with a firewire adaptor and I haven't had any problems.  Do you think I would run into any issues with power with the adaptor?  Is it safe for the computer?  Any info would be appreciated.

I am very interested in answers to this. I will soon be working with a X5, most likely through a thunderbolt connection. I might be able to provide some experience in a few weeks time.

My Flexlight X5 is connected to a MacPro  via Apple's Thunderbold adapter and it works and has worked for 2+ years without any problems.
