Spring time
« on: April 24, 2017, 04:30:21 am »

Took a small break during Easter and headed to my favourite photo grounds in SW Portugal. This time around the area of Odemira. I only shot with my recently bought Leica M Summicron 90 on the A7II.

Regards.

Like the B+W very much Paulo. Crisp complex composition which will bear repeated viewing and give new aspects many times - like it a lot.

Thanks Krug. I worked on that one more that I usually do, because:

1. I took the photo by the side of the road, when coming from picnicking on a dam. It was about 3pm or so, with the sun still very in the zenith. Not my favourite type of light.

2. However, I took the shot then with later idea to convert to B&W. I used Silver Effex to enhance the sky and clouds, plus the field blooming with white little flowers.

3. Then I finished with some burning on the sides, to centre attention on the middle regions of the frame.

All in all, I think it works, but it is far from being good light for a colour shot.

The B&W landscape is fantastic, I like it a lot. The flowers photos are quite nice too but not on the same level at all.
Go picnic more often ;-)
