Anybody in Yosemite, trying to find out when the dogwoods will be in full bloom.  The park service is very hard to get a hold of.  Thanks Tim

Michael Frye's blog will usually tell you the current conditions in Yosemite and other locals.

From looking at his older posts this is about the time for them to start based on past years. Might want to shoot him an email.

Tim,
I'm in El Portal.  I'm actually avoiding Yosemite this week because it is another fee free weekend.  I usually see the first dogwoods that flower along the lower Merced. It looks like it is still early.  I've enjoyed looking at your photographs - way to get out!

Yes, the dogwoods are beginning to bloom along the Merced River.  I just came out after an early AM drive through.  The area around Fern Springs was especially nice.

Here is one from early this morning.  This usually is the first tree to bloom along the river.

Make sure to check out the work done by Michael Frye
Michael Frye's Blog I'm hoping to go in early on Saturday. As the warm weather continues we will see some impressive flooding - I hope.
