Looking at south rim Grand Canyon from Cape Royal viewpoint on the north rim. This looks more dramatic than it did to my normal human eye at the time, but what can I say except that I had great fun processing it to look like I wanted. Enjoy... or not. There are no halos. :)

Shame - and a little worrying, I suppose. I'd assumed it was overspill from a brush used to lighten the tree. Hey ho.

Jeremy

I shot some single frames too (I think) so when I get a chance I may try again on a different file. But the light was changing fast so I hope I got one in the same light!

I think it's Humphrey's Peak.

A friend of mine has often said "if I never see another sunset or cat picture in my lifetime, it will still be too soon". But a number of the images here are simply stunning, IMO. They clearly show the difference between the "ain't that purty?" snapshot and the practised eye and skill of a good photographer.

Yes, bad sunset and cat pictures are fatiguing to look at but good ones are just good photos which I always like to see.
