London get together?
« on: August 08, 2006, 11:18:07 am »

Inspired by nniko's gathering in California, I was wondering whether any UK-based LL readers would be interested in getting together one evening in London to show their favourite prints, discuss photo techniques etc.

If you think you would like to come along to something like this then please register your interest below, and state whether weekdays or weekends are better for you and we'll try and set a date for September.

Julian,

I'd be happy to meet in London, next week or November on as I'm away in October.
I live near Tower Bridge not far from your office.

Weekends a bit better.

I'd be interested but a lot more so if it was further North.

Althought London is reachable for me, I'm based in Manchester, there are probably photographers further North than me who wouldn't dream of going all the way to London for a meet up.

If this is going to be a UK meet it could be a bit more more central.

I'm based in Northamptonshire and I'm game for either further north or south (within reason).

Thanks for the responses, I was beginning to give up hope!

Regarding location, it doesn't have to be London if there is somewhere else more convenient for everyone. Somewhere easily accessible by train would be preferable for me.

Mark, since you are round the corner from me we may chose to meet up nearby anyway? November is good for me. Let me know.

How about we see who else responds then pick a venue that's central for the majority?

I'm sure we could find a spot with some good subjects and a pub.

Whilst I don't live there, London is good for me - it's easy to get to by train and I only need the smallest of excuses to go home!  Birmingham is in the middle??

Hi,
I live in London and I would love to meet with other people LL-oriented.

I wonder if this meeting already happened or is still being organized.

Gio, situgrrl:

Mark Adams and I are meeting in London in November, date not yet confirmed but probably on a weekend. You (and others) are more than welcome to join us. Mark and I both live near London Bridge, but depending on where others are coming in from we could meet more centrally.

I'm gussing something like a nice pub where we can show some of our favourite prints, talk about photo locations and techniques, and just have a good chat over a pint and/or lunch. If the weather is good, maybe even go for some shooting around the city.

Which dates would suit people best? Saturdays or sundays are fine for me, can make any weekend in November except 18/19th.

I'm back in London on Tuesday and can meet lunchtimes in SE1 or Friday evening or Saturday.

i was in S.Utah last week. The 1st 2 days of cloud and rain cleared the air for a brilliant week.

I'm currently looking for a flat in London and may have moved by the time you meet....getting to London Bridge is easy enough.  I've no idea what I'm doing right now so will leave you to organise things and will do my best to see you there if that is okay!

I work at St Mary's Hospital (nr Paddington), and have lived here for practically my whole life, and with London bridge practically on my route home I would definately be up for meeting other LL Londonites.

Midday at The George on Borough High Street? Nice pub that doesn't get too crowded with market goers. 2 mins walk from London Bridge station.

Looking forward to hearing about Utah - looks great!

Mark, are you able to do the following day, Sunday 12th? I've stupidly realised the 11th is the Lord Mayor's Show and I want to get some pictures...
