The Epson driver for Mac is even more insidious than this...
I´ve created a couple of presets for my 2100, and one of them is "From Photoshop". There I´ve saved paper and resolution settings, as well as the "No Color Adjustment" setting. So everything should work perfectly whenever the preset reads "From Photoshop".....
Don´t you believe it! Suppose I haven´t sent any print jobs from any other application since my last Photoshop job. Then, once I get the diriver´s Print dialogue, it still shows the text "From Photoshop" in the Presets dropdown, so the obvious inference is that this is what the printer will use, yes?
NO!!! It will use the factory "default" preset (plain paper, low resolution, color controls) on your big, expensive sheet of paper! You have to go into that preset dropdown and ACTIVELY select the option that´s already shown there, to get the &%x€ printer to actually USE it....
This drove me NUTS until I finally realised what was going on, and I suppose lots of people fall into this inane trap all the time.
I´ve long since given up the quest for any sign of human intelligence in a Mac OS X Epson driver, but this one does take the bisquit...
