I do all my nature/landscape/wildlife with a pair of e-m1s and now the e-m1 mkII.  I love it.  A lot of my site readers shoot wildlife with the e-m1 as well.

Personally the telephoto pro lenses have been excellent and much easier to work with in the field.  And the close focus allows me less switching of lenses.

Just got a Canon G3X, which is waay down the scale in prestige, but Michael has a review of it on this site, and on the strength of that I got one.  First out of the box yesterday - looks promising.  I took a handheld of a squirrel on my roof  at equiv 600mm and it looks promising.
I will put it on a gimbel/tripod setup and see for sure, but it does look promising.
I owned a Nikon 500mm some years ago and have had long Canon lenses, so this camera is like a toy in comparison.
Unless you are going to sell prints etc, this thing is quite interesting.

I have no idea what kind of wildlife you're after but I have used my Fuji X-T2 with 100-400 for birds and horse racing.  I also have the 1.4TC for it that provides a lot of reach.

Links to two 4K videos with the Pan. GH4 and adapted Canon lenses: the first, with the non-IS 400/5.6 tripod only; the 2nd with the 100-400-II with it's 4-stop OIS, handheld, mostly at 400mm. The GH4 4K crop factor is 2.4X, so you're shooting an EFL of 960mm. No PP on either. Be sure to check 1080p, as 720p is the Vimeo default.

(sound muted until last clip, with the territorial cry of the Saurus cranes)

I use Pana GH 4 since 2 years for wildlife and it became my tool of choice for video. Apart from the auto-focus issue in combo with the Pana/Leica Elmar 100-400
(see my report here: http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=112861.0)
quite satisfying if you don't need very large prints of the stills.
One major consideration is size & weight of the equipment.
See the short video of a lion kill in Nxai pan/Botswana:

As my wife kept asking me to "take a picture of that bird" (with WA lens or something...), I bought her Sony RX10 III. It goes to eleven, er... 600mm. As long as there is enough light it is actually a quite amazing camera, considering size, price and weight. 600mm at f/4 is no joke.

Uncropped frame shot at 220mm (or 600mm eq.)

If by "wildlife" you mean whatever fauna one may come across in one's wanderings, then yes.  :)

Switched to an Fuji XT-2 and the 100 to 400 mm lens and the 1.4X teleconverter. Just at Point Pelee, Ontario, Canada and my focus rate is well up, the detail of the shots excellent and overall keeping over 80%. Wonderful improvement!
