Ok, I'll play too :)

This is Little Scarface. One of our four chinchillas. He was adopted from Toronto Animal Services.

Well here's one from 2010. Our older guy is lying down on the grass and the new arrival is striding toward the camera. Both are Norwegian Elkhounds and both are still doing well although the puppy is now about 1 1/2  times the size of the adult in the picture :)

This morning I took my K-1 and Helios 44k-4 on the constitutional walk. The Helios is a cheap Russian lens that has some fun personality (flaws).

More swirly Helios bokeh and Luna this morning.
Also, a little tech talk about a feature I love in Pentax cameras (maybe others too?) called Catch In Focus where the shutter will not fire unless you have focus lock. For manual focus lenses and moving subjects it's really a huge help. I've been practicing with it lately and I think it's one of my favorite modern conveniences. I can get a better hit rate than with focus peaking for shots like this one. I'd like to try it with stage lights at a concert sometime for some surreal effects.

Here's our 7 year old doing what he seems to do best!! Note also the 3 identical chew bones, the only one he ever wants is the one that has been kicked under the entertainment center!!

Luna usually gets good Sunday walks. Yesterday it was a 10k round trip to the summit of a nearby mountain.

Matt Burt, I can tell you really like your doggy Luna ... she is beautiful and looks very athletic 8)

I feel the same way about my athletic doggy too ... here are some snapshots of my pride and joy Amazon :D

On point ... (Appalachian Mountains, GA)

Fit, muscular, ready for the Olympics ... or at least fjording a stream (Appalachian Mountains, GA)

Ready for a hike. (San Bernardino Mountains, CA)

Board on another roadtrip to a new wildland destination. (Smokey Mountains, TN)

Protesting her banishment while the family eats dinner ;D (San Dimas, CA)

Getting love from Grandpa :) (San Dimas, CA)

Time for bed after a bath and a warm meal (San Dimas, CA)

Hope you enjoy (sorry for so many, but I joined this great topic a little late!).

Jack,
I'm so surprised! I was sure your family pet would be a spider!    ;D

Nice looking pup, Jack and definitely no extra fat on that one! She looks fast!
Luna is fast too and can hike far as long as it isn't too hot. That works out well most of the time because I feel the same way.

Good for you, Matt! You can see the life and intelligence in your dog's eyes ... it looks like you give her a GREAT LIFE :)

I hear you on the heat thing (Amazon, being black, can overheat quick in the summer, so I usually hike very early with her!)

There are a few more fun pics of my Amazon:

She stops any time we get elevated to "look at the view," just like a human :D (San Dimas Canyon, CA)

Patiently stops and waits for me to take a photo of a mushroom (Smoky Mountains, TN)

Waiting to begin The Claremont Loop (San Gabriel Mountains, CA)

Sleeping in daddy's lap, while driving home from a day at the beach (Boca Raton, FL)

Okay, enough fun, gotta get back to work!  :'(
