It's nice to see an article that doesn't involve $50,000 dollars worth of equipment or a trip most of us will never be able to afford. You have a wonderful way of explaining things that make sense out of some of the most esoteric concepts. The article on Listening to the Print is the type of material that made me a devoted fan. Please give us more of the same.

I have to agree. I very much liked the closing thought about revisiting old files "to discover what else they may have to tell us." A rather simple and obvious suggestion, but would I have thought to say or do that???

Along those lines, I recall Michael doing an essay called "been there, done that" some time ago. It essentially said not to avoid subjects you or others have shot repeatedly, just because they've been photographed so frequently. You might find a new interpretation, he said. I took that to heart this summer when I traveled to a locale I've shot twice before. I saw the subjects in new light and at different angles, and I'm pleased with the new images I brought home. I can also see what I should pursue if I go back.

"Listening to the Print" covered a number of truly essential points. Everybody should print a copy to post next to their computer (or enlarger).

Thanks, Michael!
