“Hearts On Our Sleeves” Exhibit at SJ Transgender Day of Visibility

In 2016, I started a photography project called “Hearts on Our Sleeves — stories and portraits of transgender people, on large format 4x5 film”. Gender non-binary, or gender-queer people, are also represented in this project.

Congratulations on your exhibit, Richard. I think the interviews and stories are important for such an exhibit; they can not only inform others and promote understanding, but, as you discovered, sometimes they reveal important connections or commonalities.

Thank you! Yes, I totally agree on the importance of the stories. Last year I was given the choice of cease to post the images on a web forum that I was active at that time or post the images without the words, and I quitted the forum over that.
