Contax CY 16f2.8 FE

the small sun shade wings on left and right side prevent a circular image circle
maybe I should remove them ;-)

Zeiss ZE 135f2 Apo

two more sample pictures with that lens at f2.4
real joy to use the lens on the GFX
focus peaking and the smooth focus ring operation allow precise manual focussing at large apertures even for slowly moving objects like frogs;-)

Is anyone else making a Canon EF > GFX adapter, or is it only Fotodiox right now?

Thanks,

Kipon makes lots of GFX to ? adapters and they are 50% to 100% better made and designed. I got the Fotodiox GFX- Pentax 645 PRO adapter and it's good and I really like the Arca Swiss plate on the bottom of the adapter, but also heard bad things on their adapters so while waiting for my GFX I ordered a Kipon GFX-Pentax 645 adapter and wow it's nice and it's also made in China but so much better made.

Also when attaching the Pentax 645 lenses on to it the Fotodiox springs are not as tight as the Kipon so I am using the Pentax 80-160 zoom and that's some glass hanging and I trust the Kipon adapter to hold the lens tight to the flange better than the Fotodiox Pro, but I am only using the Arca-Swiss plate and would keep the Kipon if it had that plate....

Adorama is the USA seller.

I tried the Fuji H-to-G adapter with half a dozen H  lenses -- but not the 35-90. I never could get the camera to fire the leaf shutter. Everything else worked OK. I sold all my H lenses.

Thanks
Looks like no vignetting, and sharp.
Any issues?

Hi,

Thanks for sharing. I prefer the Hasselblad colors, but those are beautiful and i love that the camera has personality. Both the images of the X1D and the GFX remember me of the time of film when Afga, for example, had a particular look to it. You could tweak it and you can achieve a similar look with post nowadays, but I love this devices personalities.

I got my GFX and had a little time to play with it. I want to share experiences with some lenses.

Canon TSE 17

I used a Fotodiox Canon EF - Fuji GF manual adapter. Fitting is good. The Canon lens can slightly (a few tenth of a mm) move sidewards.

All test pics in ProPhoto RGB, so no correct colors in the thumbs in the browser!

First I tested the TSE 17 (aperture closed to f11) at a Fuji event in Guangzhou. I shifted the lens 12mm down, set the camera on a podest that I could do a pic at 1/30 at ISO 640.
Image circle is sufficient w/o vignetting.
The sharpness just fades away at the last mm towards the bottom image corners.
I don't see any negative effect of the protection and ultrasonic cleaning glass which is located about 9mm in front of the sensor for retrofocus wide angle lenses that were designed for SLR cameras.
