Death Valley
« on: March 08, 2017, 07:07:49 am »

I have been to Death Valley a number of times and every time I enjoy this location and especially the sand dunes. Attached are some examples of what I like there. All were shot at around sunrise of sunset to get the shadows.

At this time of year I also like to dig into my folders from previous years where I still find pictures that were not processed or where I now felt that a different kind of processing was needed.

I particularly like the third one down.
Very nice textures and shape in such an open area.

Haven't made it there yet but I will one day. I do like your captures, especially the 4th one.

Very nice Hans, number 2 is my favorite.  I've never been there but am planning to go this year.  Your photos enhance my anticipation.

#4 does it for me. I've loved stark desert landscapes ever since living in the Middle East, and Death Valley is one I plan to revisit.

Thanks again. Death Valley is also a place you can visit a number of times as the weather changes and the look of the dunes changes.

A few more pictures of mine can be found here from 3 different trips http://www.hanskrusephotography.com/Landscapes/Death-Valley/ and I will come back again another time.

Wonderful set. B&W works very well with those mineral landscapes.
