Whitley Bay again
« on: March 05, 2017, 10:05:56 am »

I posted similar images but had shot them with a 16mm lens tilted down. Since I seldom have man made objects in my images I didn't realise just how much this distorted things. Anyway a bit of work with perspective has restored the lighthouse to symmetry.

Both work very well. The soft colour palette of the first complements the dramatic scene.

In the B&W, the top ½ of the lighthouse seems darkened. If it's from a grad mask, you can always brush out that part of mask (if you're using LR - I don't know about the others). If it's not from a grad Mack, consider raising its values.

Oops Terry Poor PS technique. The lighthouse does need a paint job but it isn't as dark at the top as this. Ken
