It snowed today

We've not had much snow down here in the south west of the UK, but today ...

Very nice. Those images perfectly capture the feel of a British winter afternoon.

( You're going to tell me that you took them in the morning aren't you? )

Both wonderful compositions, but, wow, that light!
The result - two images that transcend mere composition and light.
I don't believe either image should be compared directly - they are too different to be meaningfully put side-by-side.
Either, or both, would not be out of place in a publication like "This England" - I am not even sure if it even exists anymore!

Congratulations

Both good, Bill, but the second is wonderful. We had some heavy snow in the air in Manchester yesterday, but none of it stuck for more than a few minutes. I'm jealous.

Lovely, of course. But they look over-sharpened on my monitor, particularly the light on snow areas in #2. It matters little though, the compositions and quality of light is really fine.

Excellent.

Especially the second one, which I think might also work quite well as a nice contrasty mono.

Good seeing and shooting Bill.

Grand stuff, Bill. You've picked exactly the right time for the light. Beautiful!
