Apart from not being able to share battery with the body I don't know what the difference is. Could anyone help me shed some light on this?

IQ260 vs IQ360, no difference that I know of.
IQ280 vs. IQ380, next generation sensor that can also do longer exposures.

The IQ380 can do 60 minute exposures vs 2 minute on the IQ280.
