EPSON P9000 Printing on Canvas Decorative Pillows

I have a client who wants a photographic image printed on Canvas to be sewn and used on a decorative two foot square pillow.
It will be printed on an Epson P9000 pigment ink printer on Epson Exhibition Canvas, either Matte or Satin, and then protective sprayed (Hahnemule).

The pillow will be displayed in a home, sitting on a chair or sofa. It is not intended to be slept upon.  My concern is about wear and tear. Has anyone had any experience they could share?  Any advice is welcome! Thank you.

You will need something other than Hahnemühle Protective Spray. It isn't designed for flexible surfaces. It is lacquer based and quite brittle.

I would also consider a thinner, lighter weight canvas.

Canvas doesn't sound that appealing for a pillow, not sure if there is a special reason to use canvas.  Uncoated the ink will wear off, possibly even staining other fabrics it comes in contact with.  Coated it will be even stiffer and harder than canvas naturally is to begin with.

  There are several companies out there that will dye sublimate an image on to various fabrics which could be made into a pillow.  And several others will actually make the pillow for you.  Might want to check into these.
