Looking at the SW320 4k monitor - editing on big screens
« on: February 15, 2017, 08:48:38 am »

I've been trying out the 32" BenQ SW320 4k monitor (after a new graphics card in my old Mac Pro)

The quality (Adobe 98 and hardware LUT calibration) seems pretty good for my work (YMMV, I don't have need for contract proofing levels of performance)

Probably the biggest change I noticed was just how all those pixels affect the perception of sharpness and contrast - something I feel I've adapted to, but not what I'd first thought might be the issue when facing such a huge screen of picture in front of me on my desk.

If anyone is curious, I've written up some notes and observations
