The two lamp illuminations almost
appear as the eyes of this image.
I'm afraid that metal shopping carts
will soon be history, as plastic takes
over. Another way to date an image.
Well done!

Nice, I like it - good and simple. I wonder if it was possible (and beneficial) to make the metal carts a bit more silver rather than yellow?

Honestly, I think this image needs to stay just the way that it is.
Yes it has a colour cast - so what!

I felt that perhaps having a brighter section at the bottom might emphasise the contrasting nature of the carts against the plainer wall and add a little sparkle. Just a thought and as ever I'm happy to be wrong

I prefer the jaundiced color cast and the darker carts personally.

Certainly the first of those is no improvement (IMO), the second where I think you have lifted the carts to be whiter hasn't really had the effect I thought it might. Always worth a look though

Both of these improve the original, IMHO.
But I prefer the first of the new versions. It seems to be about the wall and the shopping carts, while the second is about the color.

Hi Osprey,
Do you actually have a name?
Are you familiar with the work of Lee Friedlander? You ought to be.
Here's another alternative, probably more Friedlandery than the original.

Yes, I've heard of Lee Friedlander, but always thought of him for his street people stuff. Stephen Shore's has done a lot of stuff on this type of subject matter as well.
I like your crop.
