Film developing! How recent is the photo? Obviously the awning isn't in it's first flush of new paint either...
Quite fascinating how a slice of the lower sign has been renewed or cleaned around the "P" :)

It's a few months old. I haven't gone in to have a look at the place, but there's a pro film development and digital printing place a few blocks up thos street.

I wish these types of shop well: nice to see folks holding out against suffocation by the big boys on steroids.

This could be a good subject for a thread ( like the Abstracts or Trees threads on this forum ) or portfolio of images.

Indeed, a touch of European-flavoured Americana, then: pre-mall shopping as in family store. Better get started - they may soon be as hard to find as diesel cars are going to be.
