Good shooting, Jeremy. One criticism: If you could have backed off a bit and moved the building with the crest behind it off to the right you'd have had a more balanced result. Maybe it wasn't possible. The building is smack in the middle of the frame. Usually (but not always) not a good idea.

It is nice as it is, but you'll certainly want to go back there this weekend and try Russ's suggestion.

I guess it's far northern UK.   ;)

Very good conditions. I have done reservations about the composition but like the image anyway.

You're right, and I usually avoid having the focus in the centre. I think there was a reason I was constrained here: a car, perhaps.

It's a long way north...

Thanks, Rajan.

I see some sharpening or elements at the point of the building? I might consider pushing the blue primary in camera calibration up and taking the blue saturation down, then examine what it might look like to bump up up the blacks, and down the darks, and add some blue into the shadows. Also I might desaturate the brown on the far right a bit as it's not particularly pretty or adding anything.

Not sure what you mean by the sharpening comment.

As to the rest, interesting suggestions. I'll give it a go. I've never tried fiddling with the camera calibration settings: I suppose it's because I don't really understand what they do, or how they interact with the saturation/luminance sliders.
