Question for E-M1 mkII owners with studio strobes...

With an E-M1 mkII ... does your flash sync port with a cable or your hotshoe with a pocket wizard or other trigger work when in High Resolution mode?  With recharge time on?

It appears my sync port and hotshoe deactivate in high res mode and focus bracketing, but reactivate in every other mode just fine.  Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

The sequence of 8 shots fires...and waits the recharge time in between...but the flashes are never fired.  Flash mode is on.  And flash is set to on even in "silent mode" so it still works with the electronic shutter.  Equipment doesn't matter.  Any trigger, shoe mounted flash, or strobe with a sync cable responds the same.

Added note... this works perfectly with their other cameras, Pen-F, E-M1, etc...  This is only in reference to the E-M1 mkII.

So after a couple days Olympus senior tech has reached out.  They were successfully able to reproduce this issue and are submitting a bug report.  Hopefully this will be resolved in a firmware update soon.  Let's hope.   They could not make any promises as to when, but they said this is definitely something they want to correct.

What does work however is the included flm03 flash.  So as bizarre as that is...you can at least use it as an optical trigger for other lights.  Nice thing is the little flash swivels and tilts.  It's also low enough power to not effect the scene generally at 1/64 power, but enough to trigger strobes.
