1 operation in progress...
« on: July 24, 2006, 06:18:12 am »

I started importing images (with reference to a portable USB 2.0 harddisk) from 1 big shoot (2.500 images in RAW, mostly from a Canon 20D) on the day the Windows release became available. I have a 3.0 Ghz, 1 Gig RAM PC. When I start Lightroom today it still shows in the upper right corner '1 operation in progress'. I suppose this is still the development of the database. In the mean time work flow is slow!

I cannot find an estimate somewhere of what to expect from Lightroom's Dbase development speed. Like 1 hour per Gig for example?

If you click on it you will get a window telling you what is going on with a progress bar.
