Yep. The only spectacle I've been paying attention to over the past week is Winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) in LA. Lotsa YouTube video footage of new or updated music gear, usually accompanied by marketeering schtick but sometimes by genuine insight and/or candor. The occasional diamond makes up for all the dross.
BTW, YouTube Red's holiday greeting video for folks using the Cast feature (lets you watch YT video on a TV via phone/tablet app) was of a fireplace with cheerfully burning & crackling logs.
