I like the first, and I like the processing too. I agree with Thierry about the sky in the second.

#1 for me, should print really well, with the grain providing bite and texture.
For #2, I would have framed it differently, actually excluding the mountains and sky; if possible, just including their reflection.

I just tried Paulo's suggested cropping on screen (by scrolling) and I think it is worth a try.
(Even though I seldom like cropped versions of images offered here.)

Thanks! It's a great spot, often just gravel but sandy last autumn.
