Lens related performance of Nikon D800E v. D810
« on: January 11, 2017, 06:05:09 am »

Good morning,

According to www.dxomark.com, various performance indicators (DoXMark Score, Sharpness and Transmission) are always slightly better for each lens when used with the D800E than with the most recent D810 (these indicators are quite higher than those obtainable using the D800).

Does anyone have an idea why?

Regards

No but i had them both and the d810 is the better camera. The 64 iso is very beautiful and there are some improvements in handling.
The video quality is better, splitview is nice, Elctronic first curtain rules out any camera shake...
I find the images of the d810 more photographic - less graphic
The d800e is slightly better at high iso.

I agree and the EFCS is absolutely essential for longer focal lengths for landscape photography for low shutter speeds on a tripod.
