Extreme QA or the horiffic purple image-molesters work?
« on: December 12, 2016, 03:00:57 pm »

Hello

I shot this photo (attached) the other day at a nearby metro-construction point. When i got home i noticed what at first sight I believed were some pretty bad QA (chromatic aberration) but now im not so sure... with my lightroom skills i have got no shot at PP'ing this.

and i know, the shot is quite bad...

what are your thoughts?

best regards

I don't see much chromatic aberration but the lighting is extreme. It appears the main, reddish, light source in front is almost directly to the left and overhead the woman based on facial shadows, lack of back shadow from the woman, and the post and equipment shadows. The light in the dark areas of the woman's face is comparatively blue. It creates the impression of chromatic aberration but I think its just a characteristic of the illuminants in the scene.
