Capture 1 DB and CF card files
« on: December 12, 2016, 11:32:17 am »

I installed C1 DB and when I import images from a CF Card (using Aptus 22 back), the images seem to come into C1, but I can't do anything with them...(other than export).

Does C1 DB only work tethered? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance, ad

Hi Adam, you're not doing anything wrong but for your Aptus 22 you'll need to activate Capture One Pro. There's a detailed list of supported camera and required version/s HERE

Hope this helps

Capture One DB mode, is for Phase One's IIQ files only.

You need to have a Pro license to use other file formats.
Essentially Capture One Pro is free for those with Phase One backs/files.

Not quite right.

As noted in the link that Yair shared Capture One DB supports a variety of Mamiya Leaf backs. The Aptus II series and AFI-II backs are all supported. It's only the legacy Leaf backs that are not supported by Capture One DB. These backs were released many years before Mamiya Leaf and Phase One all became part of the unified Team Phase One.

Thanks, looks like I'll stick to Lightroom for the time being...  :(

I strongly recommend you do the 30 day free trial and process some images and compare to the processing you get in LightRoom. I'd put money on the outcome.
